25-05-2010 Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease. It is one of the most common disabling neurological conditions amongst young adults in the northern hemisphere. Over 2,000,000 people in the world have MS. The aims of world MS day are to raise awareness and mobilise the global movement. In 2008 in Denver Colorado three musicians suffering with M.S. recorded Irish songwriter Mark Gilligan’s The Lodger Inside of Me a song which captures the daily routine of living with M.S.
The recording session took place on Tuesday May 21 2008 at Macy Sound Studios, Denver, Colorado & was funded by C.A.S.E. for M.S. Produced by the grammy & emmy award winning producer John Macy. Download mp3, wav, video on YouTube
On top of this, Mark is hosting a benefit night in Amsterdam tomorrow evening at Mulligan’s Irish Pub. Live music show with a host of Irish & Dutch Musicians are showing their support for World M.S. Day. Entrance is free for all but donations greatly received. All money collected will be donated to the M.S.V.N. (The Dutch M.S. Society).
